| Allowed Values: | ACTIVE: This designation is used to represent leases about which the lease term and production status (producing or non-producing) is unknown. This is the default classification for this layer.; NON-PRODUCING: A lease that is not currently producing a mineral in paying quantities.; NOT AVAILABLE: At the time of publication, information on active leasing was not available.; OPERATIONS: A lease whose initial term has been extended because of drilling, completion, or workover activity without production on the leased area.; PRIMARY: A lease in the initial fixed length term of the contract during which the lessee retains the right to search for, develop, and produce oil and gas without the obligation to do so. The lease will expire at the end of the primary term unless maintained beyond that in a secondary term as long as production or operational requirements specified in the lease are met.; PRODUCTION: A lease whose initial term has been extended and held by production of a mineral in paying quantities.; SUSPENDED: A lease on which an authorized temporary cessation or prohibition of activities has been requested or directed. As of the effective date of a suspension, time on a lease stops for the life of the suspension, thus having the effect of extending the term of a lease for a period of time equal to the length of time of the suspension.; TERMINATION PENDING: A lease for which all rights under the lease agreement for the removal of oil or gas are pending termination due to a cessation of leaseholding activities (production, drilling, or well workover), for a period of more than 180 days on a lease that is beyond its primary term.; UNITIZED: A lease that has been joined together with one or more leases through an agreement to act as one. For example, leases may be unitized for the efficient development and production of a reservoir that lies beneath more than one lease.; |
