Item Identification

Title: Texas Gulf Charterboat Program
Status: In Work
Purpose:

To estimate effort and landings for the for-hire sector of the Gulf of Mexico marine recreational fishing industry in Texas by combining a field-intercept, a rove component, and a telephone survey.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is cooperatively completing this project with the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission (GSMFC) and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to provide gulf-wide effort and landings estimates using similar methodologies.
