Marine Resources Management Specialist

Ben German is a Marine Resources Management Specialist for the New England Branch, based in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Before joining NOAA, Ben served part-time for 12 years in the Air National Guard as a Public Affairs Specialist serving on multiple peacetime deployments to support National Science Foundation research in Greenland and Antarctica. During this time he also worked in academia as a visiting professor in Fisheries for the State University of New York (SUNY). More recently, he worked for a lake management firm as the fisheries biologist for the New England region. Ben has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Fisheries and Aquaculture from SUNY Cobleskill and a Master of Science in Lake Management from SUNY Oneonta.
