Sean began his career with NOAA Fisheries in 2002 and has worked on a variety of issues including coastal development, habitat restoration, fish passage, and trophic interactions research. Sean acted as the Hydropower Review Coordinator for Habitat and Ecosystem Services Division (HESD) in NOAA Fisheries Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office from 2005 - 2020. In 2021, he moved to the Alaska Region's Habitat Conservation Division, supervising the Anchorage field office and its implementation of the Federal Power Act, Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, and Essential Fish Habitat provisions of the Magnuson-Stevens Act. Sean previously worked with Habitat Restoration and the University of New Hampshire through a contract. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Salem State University and a Master of Science in Marine Ecology from the California State University at Fresno.
