Summary

NOAA Fisheries developed regulations implementing the Atlantic Large Whale Take Reduction Plan to address the increased incidental mortality and serious injury of three stocks of large whales (North Atlantic right, humpback, and fin) in commercial gillnet and trap/pot fisheries.The Plan was most recently amended in 2015.
