Implementation of the Fishery Management Plan for the Salmon Fisheries Off Alaska

On May 18, 1979, NOAA Fisheries published interim emergency regulations implementing the approved portion of the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for the Alaska Salmon Fishery. Due to an inadvertence, the FMP was not published at that time. The FMP is set forth in the link below in its entirety.

This fishery management plan is designed to promote conservation of the ocean salmon resource while allowing utilization of its stocks for food production.
