The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is correcting the retainable percentage values for Atka mackerel and Arrowtooth flounder and the table footnotes and footnote indicators as presented in Table 11 to 50 CFR 679, according to James W. Balsiger, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS.
The current Table 11 provided on the NMFS Alaska Region's Home Page shows a 5% retainable percentage for Aggregated rockfish when using Arrowtooth flounder as a basis species and a 0% retainable percentage for Aggregated rockfish when using Atka mackerel as a basis species. The correct values, as published at 67 FR 4100 (January 28, 2002) are 0% retainable percentage for Aggregated rockfish when using Arrowtooth flounder as a basis species and 5% retainable percentage for Aggregated rockfish when using Atka mackerel as a basis species. The errors were inadvertently introduced when Table 11 was reformatted to place basis species in numerical order.
A correction notice will be published in the Federal Register. Please contact Patsy A. Bearden (907-586-7008 or patsy.bearden@noaa.gov) if you have any questions about these errors.
