Alia Shabazz
Alia has over 20 years of federal government experience in operations and human resources. She began her federal career as a Presidential Management Intern with HHS, following her work in the private sector, which included a role as Supervisory Workforce and Career Development Officer for the CDC. Her leadership roles at USDA encompassed overseeing operations for APHIS/Biotechnology Regulatory Services, with responsibilities spanning budget, data, recruitment, workforce planning, financial management, travel, acquisitions, and facilities. Additionally, she served as the Training and Development Officer for the Economic Research Service. Alia holds a Master's in Human Resources Development and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Bowie State University, complemented by a Certificate in Public Leadership from the Brookings Institution.
