Cheryl will serve in this role through January 2021. While in the detail, Cheryl will take on traditional Planning Officer duties including leading the NEFSC through our SPERS process, strategic planning, and prioritization. She will also take on additional duties including involvement in the Learning Team and other special projects.
Outside of this detail, Cheryl works for the Fishery Monitoring and Research Division. She has administered the Research Set Aside grants program for the past 13 years. Before coming to NOAA, she worked 16 years as a Contracting Officer for the National Park Service at their Regional Office in Boston. She was acting Chief of Staff several years ago and just finished a 6 month Professional Development Assignment with the International Trade Administration.
