Daniel Wieczorel
Daniel (Dan) Wieczorek comes to the Office of Aquaculture with over twenty years of experience in the Northeast Fisheries Science Center. His experience there over the years included marine chemistry, contaminants and toxicology, climate change, ocean acidification, and recirculating and experimental systems development.
With a current focus on industry science coordination, his portfolio includes working with industry and stakeholders to define science needs, understanding trends in aquaculture development, and coordinating and communicating with local, state, and other federal agencies as well as academics. With an eye on the potential threat of climate change, Dan is very passionate about advancing U.S. aquaculture production in an economically viable, environmentally sustainable, and socially responsible manner.
