Julianne Rosset

Hydropower Program Coordinator

Recently, Julianne made the exciting move from Maine to Alaska, bringing nearly a decade of federal experience with her. As the Alaska Region’s Hydropower Program Coordinator, Julianne Rosset advises and provides technical support to NOAA Fisheries leadership and staff regarding the federal licensing of hydropower projects throughout the state pursuant to the Federal Power Act, Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, and other pertinent statutes. Julianne received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of West Florida and her Master of Science in Environmental Conservation from the University of Massachusetts. She has publications in the Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, Transactions of American Fisheries, and Science Advances and is excited to continue publishing relevant content with her colleagues. Additionally, Julianne is thrilled about the new adventures and opportunities that Alaska has in store!
