Natural Resource Management Specialist

Katie Davis began working for NOAA Fisheries in 2007 as a student intern in the Southeast Regional Office's Protected Resources Division. In 2010, she joined the Office of Sustainable Fisheries' Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Division and was promoted to fish biologist in 2012. From 2017 to 2022, she was a biological sciences technical editor/writer for the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center, and in 2022, joined the West Coast Regional Office's Sustainable Fisheries Division as a natural resource management specialist. Katie holds a bachelor of science degree in biology with a minor in technical editing and writing from the University of South Florida, and a master of science degree in marine resource assessment from USF's College of Marine Science. Her master's thesis was on benthic habitat assessment using a towed camera system along the west Florida shelf.
