Megan Ewald

Megan Ewald joined the Office of Aquaculture in 2023. She leads a team working to make aquaculture science accessible to the public, industry, academia, and decision-makers.

Prior to this position, Megan supported NOAA’s Office of Response and Restoration working in oil spill and hazardous waste pollution communications. She has a background in community-based natural resource management, photography and video production, and working across barriers to make science accessible to communities with diverse backgrounds. 

Megan received her Masters Degree in Science Writing from Johns Hopkins University, her Bachelors in Environmental Studies from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi.
