Public Hearing for the Proposed Rule to list Queen Conch as Threatened Under the Endangered Species Act
A virtual public hearing on the proposed rule is scheduled for November 21, 2022 from 5:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m. EST. We are also reopening the public comment period. The comment period will now close on December 15, 2022.

NOAA Fisheries will hold a public hearing on the proposed rule to list the queen conch (Aliger gigas) under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) on November 21, 2022, from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. EST. The public hearing will be held online, any member of the public can join by internet or phone.
The proposed rule to list the queen conch as a threatened species under the ESA was issued on September 8, 2022 (87 FR 55200), and provided for a public comment period to November 7, 2022. We have reopened the public comment period. The public comment period will now close on December 15, 2022.
