Workshop for Educators: Connecting Students to Climate Solutions
Join us to learn about examples of climate solutions at the state, local, and school levels and about how we can integrate these solutions within environmental literacy programming.
About
Climate change solutions are happening all around us. Federal agencies have grant programs to support climate resilience projects. States have initiatives to lower emissions. Towns are preparing for more frequent and extreme storms. Schools are making their buildings more energy efficient. These are only a few examples; there are many more. These currently active solutions offer an opportunity to inspire students to connect to and pursue solutions themselves, and to remain hopeful as communities throughout the region wrestle with the causes and consequences of a changing climate.
Join NOAA’s Environmental Science Training Center to learn about examples of climate solutions happening at the state, local, and school levels to help us think about what may be happening in our communities and how we can integrate these solutions within environmental literacy programming.
This free workshop is intended for environmental educators serving K-12 students, though all are welcome. Space is limited, so we can’t accept more than two people from a single organization.
UPDATE: This workshop is FULL, but we do have a waitlist. Please email Krysta Hougen if you'd like to be added to the waitlist.
