Cameron Hodgdon, Ph.D.
Background
Cameron received his B.S. from the University of New England in 2017, double majoring in Marine Biology and Applied Mathematics. In 2022, he received his Ph.D. from the University of Maine in Marine Science. After receiving his degrees, Cameron spent a year as a postdoctoral researcher at Stony Brook University working on American lobster stock assessment and habitat modeling.
Research
Cameron started at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center in 2023. His research interests involve ecosystem influences on species population dynamics and assessment practices. He is currently the lead assessment scientist for Southern New England/Mid-Atlantic yellowtail flounder and Eastern Gulf of Maine Atlantic cod.
