Nicole Mucci

Nicole earned a BA in Biology from the University of Vermont and an MS in Oceanography from URI Graduate School of Oceanography. She also completed a graduate certificate program in geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing. Her previous work includes research in coastal water quality and biogeochemistry, focusing on the benthic response to low dissolved oxygen. Nicole started as a Research Associate- GIS Analyst in September 2024 as an ECS affiliate with NOAA in the Offshore Wind Ecology Branch. She is interested in implementing geospatial data and tools to inform ecosystem impacts related to marine development.
