Kate Savage, DVM

Veterinarian (Contractor)

A lifelong passion for wildlife biology, ecology and health has directed most of Kate’s education and experience. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Science in Radiation Ecology, a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine as well as post-graduate training in wildlife pathology. Her experience primarily includes work as a veterinarian, in both clinical and field settings, as well as a biologist with field experience working with a variety of animal species, including birds, amphibians, large and small mammals. Professional interests include marine mammal health issues relative to marine mammal/fishery interactions as well as to the indirect effects of climate change. Personally, she enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and playing outdoors with friends and family.
