Kristin Mabry, M.E.M.

Human Capital Branch Supervisor

Kristin earned her Master of Environmental Management at Duke University in 1997 and immediately put that education to action analyzing ecological landscape changes associated with Forest Service activities in the Tongass National Forest. That non-profit work was a great introduction to the vast array of conservation issues in Alaska.  Kristin was excited to take the opportunity to work for NOAA Fisheries in 2003 and began transferring her analytical skill set to this new landscape, with lots of learning along the way!  Kristin is currently a Protected Species Biologist  working to promote conservation of threatened and endangered species through completing Section 7 Endangered Species Act consultations on Federal government actions, administering the Whale Alert program to reduce the risk of whale-vessel collisions, and developing online apps for staff and the public to spatially query information about our trust species.

When she gets out of the office, Kristin enjoys connecting with the community as a certified yoga therapist, fitness instructor, and a brass player and percussionist in various musical ensembles.
