Allison Henry

Research Fish Biologist

Allison Henry is part of NEFSC’s Whale Ecology Branch. Her primary focus is on large whale injuries and mortalities and determining the annual toll human-interactions play on their populations (see reports here). Her secondary focus is right whale photo-identification work which is a key component to learning and understanding their distribution, population, health, and demographics. Allison earned her B.A. in Biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Prior to joining NEFSC in 2005, she worked for various non-profit organizations conducting vessel and aerial based surveys for large whales along the U.S. Eastern seaboard.
