Army and NOAA Joint Resolution Memorandum for Evaluating the Effects of Projects Involving Existing Structures in Endangered Species Act Section 7 Consultations

NOAA and Army (Civil Works) sign memorandum which will advance maintenance of the nation’s infrastructure and reduce permit backlog while ensuring Endangered Species Act protections.

The joint memorandum provides clarification on how NOAA Fisheries and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) evaluate the effects of projects involving existing structures in Endangered Species Act section 7 consultations.
