Biological Opinion on Continued Operation of the Hawaii-based Shallow-set Longline Swordfish Fishery

NOAA Fisheries' biological opinion on the continued operation of the Hawaii-based shallow-set longline fishery under Amendment 18 to the Fishery Management Plan for Pelagic Fisheries of the Western Pacific Region.

This biological opinion is not likely to jeopardize and destroy or adversely modify designated critical habitat for the continued existence of these ESA-listed five species: humpback whales, North Pacific loggerhead DPS, leatherback sea turtles, olive ridley sea turtles, and green sea turtles.
