Final Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement for Pacific Islands Region Aquaculture Management Program

NOAA Fisheries has prepared a final Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) on a potential aquaculture management program in the Pacific Islands region. This final PEIS analyzes the potential environmental effects associated with identified management alternatives. The final PEIS will help inform the Western Pacific Fishery Management Council as it considers amending its five fishery ecosystem plans and implementing regulations to include aquaculture management in the federal waters of the Pacific Islands region.
