Finding of No Significant Impact for the Environmental Assessment for Issuing an Exempted Fishing Permit for the Purpose of Testing a Salmon Excluder Device in the Central Gulf of Alaska Pollock Fishery

The proposed action is  limited to the use of pelagic trawl gear by up to two vessels, harvesting a relatively small amount of fish over several seasons in the Central GOA.

It has been determined that the actions conducted under the permit will not significantly impact the quality of the human environment as described above and in the supporting Environmental Assessment. This decision is based on the information presented in this document and the analysis contained in the supporting Environmental Assessment prepared for Issuing an Exempted Fishing Permit for the Purpose of Testing a Salmon Excluder Device in the Gulf of Alaska Pollock Fishery.

In addition, all beneficial and adverse impacts of the proposed action have been addressed to reach the conclusion of no significant impacts.
