This report summarizes the results of research conducted by NOAA Fisheries' Fishery Products Technology Laboratory, Pascagoula, during fiscal years 1970-71, on improving the handling and processing methods for Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic fish and shellfish, and describes several other important short-term projects initiated at that time to aid the fishing industry.
