State Recreational Red Snapper Management Exempted Fishing Permits
Five exempted fishing permits (EFPs) were issued to allow limited state management of recreational red snapper. The EFPs were issued for the 2018 and 2019 fishing years.

2019 Recreational Red Snapper Landings
Each Gulf of Mexico state, under an exempted fishing permit (EFP), is managing their red snapper
private angling component under a state-specific annual catch limit. The states are tracking their red
snapper landings and are reporting them to NOAA Fisheries. Reported landings from the states are
preliminary and are subject to change as more complete information becomes available.
