Amendment 1 to the FMP for the Salmon Fisheries Off Alaska
Summary
The North Pacific Fishery Management Council has adopted, and the Assistant Administrator for Fisheries of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, with one exception, has approved certain amendments to the fishery management plan (FMP) for the High Seas Salmon Fishery off the Coast of Alaska. These amendments would make several changes to conform the FMP and implementing regulations to State of Alaska regulations so there is a degree of uniformity inside the three-mile territorial sea and in the fishery conservation zone outside the territorial sea. Changes in the implementing regulations are proposed.
