Summary

NOAA Fisheries announces the schedule for three Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Outreach
Workshops held in locations across Puerto Rico from August 19, 2024 through August 21 2024.

The Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Outreach Workshops are designed to educate fishers,
dealers, and the general public on the fishing regulations governing Atlantic highly migratory
species, including permit and reporting requirements, authorized species and gears, and
minimum size limits. The workshops are also intended to increase proficiency in species
identification, distribute outreach materials, answer questions regarding Atlantic highly
migratory species regulations, and help fishers and dealers acquire the necessary Atlantic highly migratory species permits.
