Foreign Fishing Activities in the U.S.

These regulations govern foreign fishing activities within the United States fishery conservation zone (FCZ). These regulation are similar in most respects to regulations which governed foreign fishing activities in the FCZ during 1978. Experience gained during 1978 in administering the provisions of the Fishery Conservation and Management Act of 1976 (16 U.S.C. 1801 et seq., as amended) ("the Act") has demonstrated little need for major changes in 1979. The most significant difference is in §611.9 where additional reports and changes in reporting procedures have been made.
