Summary

CMP Framework 12 and the final rule adjust the Gulf king mackerel gillnet component fishing season. The fishing season will open the Tuesday after Martin Luther King Jr. day and all subsequent weekends and holidays will now be open to fishing.

The need for the rule is to remove an outdated regulatory requirement that is no longer necessary to manage harvest by the Gulf king mackerel gillnet component.
