Summary

NOAA Fisheries is temporarily reopening the 2019 U.S. pelagic longline fishery for bigeye tuna in the western and central Pacific Ocean for five days because the fishery did not catch the entire 3,554 metric ton (t) limit. This action is intended to allow the fishery to access the remainder of the available limit. This rule is effective from December 23 through December 27, 2019. The comment period ends January 13, 2020.
