Summary

What members do

Individuals in the SEDAR Pool may participate, if selected, in the various data, assessment, and review workshops associated with shark stock assessments. As part of the workshops, members of the SEDAR Pool review and provide advice regarding the scientific information, data, and models that NOAA Fisheries will use or consider for use in the relevant stock assessment.

Following the expected completion of the hammerhead shark stock assessments by the end of 2024, NOAA Fisheries plans to assess the sandbar and bull shark stocks.
