Nominations to the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission Permanent Advisory Committee

Update: We have reopened the solicitation for this announcement. New nominations must be received no later than April 30, 2025. Nominations submitted between January 21 and March 24, 2025, will still be considered; they do not need to be resubmitted.
NOAA Fisheries is accepting nominations to the Permanent Advisory Committee established under the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Convention Implementation Act.
Each appointed member of the Permanent Advisory Committee will serve for a term of two years and is eligible for reappointment. This request for nominations is for the term to begin on August 3, 2025.
About the Committee
The Committee is composed of individuals from groups concerned with the fisheries covered by the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Convention. They provide input to the U.S. Commissioners to the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission regarding the deliberations and decisions of the Commission. Committee members also have the opportunity to participate in meetings of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission, as part of the U.S. delegation.
How to Submit
Nominations should include a letter of interest and a resume or curriculum vitae that covers the following information:
- Full name, address, telephone, and email address of nominee
- Nominee’s organization(s) or professional affiliation(s) serving as the basis for the nomination, if any
- Background statement, not to exceed one page in length, describing the nominee’s qualifications, experience and interests, specifically as related to the fisheries covered by the Convention
