Transfer of 15 mt to Bluefin Tuna Harpoon Category for 2019

NOAA Fisheries has transferred 15 mt to the Harpoon category Atlantic bluefin tuna (BFT) quota from the Reserve category. With this transfer, the adjusted Harpoon category quota is 91 mt for the 2019 fishing season. The adjusted Reserve category quota is 98 mt. The transfer will be in effect through November 15, 2019, or until the Harpoon category quota is reached, whichever comes first.

This action applies only to commercial vessels with an Atlantic tunas Harpoon category permit.
