Southeast Data, Assessment, and Review (SEDAR) is a cooperative fishery management council process to improve the quality and reliability of fishery stock assessments in the South Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, and U.S. Caribbean.
The HMS Southeast Data, Assessment, and Review (SEDAR) Pool is a group from which people are selected to review and provide data, analyses, and advice to NOAA Fisheries. They advise on the scientific information, data and models used in stock assessments for sharks in the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean Sea. Anyone with interest in recreational and commercial fishing and related industries, environmental community, academia, and non-governmental organizations is considered for the SEDAR Pool.
