We are implementing the previously approved 2018 specifications for the monkfish fishery. This action sets quotas for fishing year 2018 (May 1, 2018, through April 30, 2019). The 2018 specifications are part of a multi-year approach that must be formally implemented each year. Measures (Table 1) include total allowable landings (TAL) in both the Northern and Southern Fishery Management Areas, day-at-sea (DAS) limits, and trip limits. These measures are the same as measures implemented in 2017.
