The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Region, and the United States Coast Guard, North Pacific Regional Fisheries Training Center (USCG), will present workshops for the fishing industry on 2001 recordkeeping and reporting (R&R) requirements at 50 CFR part 679 for the Alaska groundfish fisheries, according to Jim Balsiger, Alaska Region Administrator. The workshops will include discussion of proposed changes to the R&R requirements along with instructions for completion and submittal of the required forms and logsheets. Suggestions and feedback on existing procedures are welcome. The workshops are scheduled as follows:
