IB 06-110: NMFS Opens Directed Fishing for Greenland Turbot for Vessels Using Hook-and-Line Gear in the Bering Sea Subarea in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands

Notice of a fishery management action.

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is opening directed fishing for Greenland turbot for vessels using hook-and-line gear in the Bering Sea subarea in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (BSAI) effective 1200 hrs, Alaska local time, November 29, 2006, according to Robert D. Mecum, Acting Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS.

This action is necessary to fully use the 2006 total allowable catch of Greenland turbot for vessels using hook-and-line gear in the Bering Sea subarea in the BSAI. Other closures remain in full force and effect.
