Inseason action for commercial salmon fisheries from the U.S./Canada border to Cape Falcon, 2023

NOAA Fisheries has taken inseason action in the commercial salmon fisheries from the U.S./Canada border to Cape Falcon. 

  • Effective Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 12:01 am, the commercial salmon troll fishery in the area between the U.S./Canada border and the Queets River (La Push and Neah Bay subareas) is closed.
  • Effective Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 12:01 am, the landing and possession limit for the commercial salmon troll fishery in the area between the U.S./Canada border and Cape Falcon is 150 Chinook salmon per vessel per landing week (Thursday-Wednesday) May 17-June 21 and for the period June 22- June 29.
  • Effective Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 12:01 am through June 29, the commercial salmon troll fishery in the area between the U.S./Canada border and the Queets River (La Push and Neah Bay subareas) is open. For the area between the U.S./Canada border and the Queets River, the landing and possession limit is 35 Chinook salmon per vessel per landing week (Thursday-Wednesday) May 18-June 21 and for the period June 22-June 29.
