Alex earned a BS in Biology from Northeastern University and a PhD in Fisheries Oceanography from the University of Massachusetts. Alex is the lead assessment scientist for Georges Bank yellowtail flounder and Georges Bank winter flounder. His research interests include species distribution models, incorporating environmental effects into stock assessment and model validation.
