Christina L. Conrath
Christina joined the groundfish assessment program in 2008 at the Kodiak Laboratory. Christina supports the planning and execution of annual groundfish bottom trawl surveys in the Gulf of Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. She co-leads the Alaska Coral and Sponge Initiative, a group focused on understanding the distribution and biology of deep-sea coral and sponges and their role in supporting commercial fishery resources. Christina has also led several research projects aimed at providing life history information to support the stock assessment of rockfish species throughout Alaska. Christina earned a B.S. from the University of San Diego and a M.S. and Ph.D. from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science.
