David Gloeckner, Ph.D. is the director of the Fisheries Statistics Division for the Southeast Fisheries Science Center.
Dr. Gloeckner has held various positions with the agency for more than 20 years, including positions in the Alaska, Northeast, and Southeast Regions. He is the recipient of several Department of Commerce, NOAA, and regional awards for work that has improved the agency’s data collection programs. Before his current role he managed the Southeast Fisheries Science Center's fishery monitoring branch since 2010. His focus has been and remains the improvement in speed and reliability of the information used to inform decisions made by fishery resource managers.
