Background

Jeff Atkins has worked for the Behavioral Ecology Team at the Manchester Research Station working on BPA Hatchery Reform Project since 2000. He graduated from Olympic College in 1998 (AAS) and Western Washington University in 2000 (B.S.) from the Huxley Environmental Studies program.

Current Research

Jeff is a fisheries biologist responsible for the rearing and husbandry of ESA-listed steelhead and salmon.  He also constructs experimental systems and runs experiments on ESA listed salmon in the field and at the lab. Also, he is responsible for maintaning the fresh water systems at Manchester Research Station and assists with the seawater infrastucture.
