Jessica Reynolds
Jessica is a social scientist with the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission in Seattle working with Dr. Sarah Wise on developing social indicators for use in western Alaska and Arctic communities. On the Alaska Community Engagement and Participation Overview project team, Jessica assists in providing community-level social and economic information to the North Pacific Fishery Management Council for those communities substantially engaged in the commercial FMP groundfish and crab fisheries in Alaska. Jessica works with communities on multiple projects exploring the effects of climate change on commercial and subsistence fisheries and communities in the Bering Sea and Arctic ecosystems. Committed to strong collaborative research, Jessica brings her mapping skills and co-production of knowledge approaches to contribute to understanding of social-ecological marine systems to inform state and federal management. Jessica received a MA in Sociology from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho and a B.S.F.R. In Fisheries & Wildlife from the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of
Forestry and Natural Resources.
