Justin DaSilva joined NOAA in 2021 sailing as a survey technician aboard the NOAA ship Henry B. Bigelow. Prior to NOAA, Justin worked as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager for Veolia North America at Moderna, handling all hazardous waste and materials on site during the production of the COVID-19 vaccine in 2020. He graduated from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 2020 with a degree in Marine Science, Safety, and Environmental Protection. Justin initially went into the Occupational Safety and Health, but found himself back aboard a ship supporting marine science once again.
