Marine Habitat Resource Specialist - Mid-Atlantic offshore wind

Kira is a Marine Habitat Resource Specialist with the Greater Atlantic Region Habitat and Ecosystem Services Division. Kira is responsible for Essential Fish Habitat (EFH) consultations for offshore wind energy projects. Prior to joining the Division, Kira worked for nearly 15 years with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection specializing in bivalve shellfish stock assessment and management, GIS-based habitat mapping, seagrasses, shellfish aquaculture, coastal resiliency, and environmental review technical support.  Kira completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University and a Master of Arts in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island.
