Mike Tosatto
Mike Tosatto is NOAA Fisheries’ Senior Advisor for Permitting and Efficiency. As the senior advisor, he leads the development and implementation of new methods to promote efficiency within the agency’s regulatory programs. He also serves as the Deputy Chief Environmental Review and Permitting Officer for the Department of Commerce, supporting NOAA and many other Commerce agencies. In this role, he engages with the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council on behalf Samuel Rauch, the agency’s Deputy Assistant Administrator for Regulatory Programs. Previously, Mike served as the Regional Administrator for NOAA Fisheries’ Pacific Islands Regional Office. He is also a veteran who served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He has a degree in electrical engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
