Nicole Pegg

Nicole joined the Passive Acoustic Ecology Program at the Southeast Fisheries Science Center in 2025. She completed her Masters of Science degree at Florida Atlantic University, where she was also a member of the Marine Mammal Stranding and Population Assessment team. In 2018, Nicole was awarded a NOAA Hollings Scholarship, and from 2019 to 2021, she worked as a Junior Acoustician at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center, where she analyzed acoustic data for baleen whales. Nicole now works on the North Atlantic right whale team conducting acoustic analyses and participating in field work.
