Samantha has a B.S. in Marine Science from Stockton University. Prior to coming in as a Data Debriefer she worked as an IFS Observer for seven months, worked in two different labs one doing asbestos testing, and the other doing heavy metal testing. Samantha also interned at The University of Texas Marine Science Institute for the summer of 2017. There she worked under Dr. Brad Erisman and conducted an age and growth study on the south Texas sheepshead population. During her time there she aged about 500 otoliths from sheepshead and sectioned and mounted 250 of those otoliths collected. Samantha has also worked with the NJ DEP Fish and Wildlife Division for the summer of 2019 on the APAIS survey as a Fisheries Technician. In this role she traveled to recreational docks to interview salt-water anglers about their time out fishing, what they were targeting, and if they kept anything she would identify, weight, and measure those species. In her free time Samantha enjoys hiking, kayaking, painting, reading, board games, and spending time with family and friends.
