Scott Burkart

Scott Burkart joined NOAA's Northwest Fisheries Science Center in February 2024 as the Supervisory Financial Officer where he manages the Financial Services Program within the OMI Division. Before moving to the Science Center, Scott spent the first 16 years of his NOAA career working for the NMFS Office of Law Enforcement as a Program Analyst and Superivsory Administrative Officer.  He followed that with three more years supporting the NMFS West Coast Region working in the areas of safety, training, and strategic planning.  Scott graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor's degree in natural resource management, and later received his master's degree from Colorado State University in business administration.
